コロンビアではカルタヘナ大学の訪問や大統領との面会をしました。

ピースボート　おりづるプロジェクト

在日コロンビア大使館のサポートと大いなる関心、ダイアナ・ゲデオンさん（ジェマツアーズ）の熱意と連携のおかげで、ピースボートのカルタヘナ訪問中（2011年2月25日）に以下の活動が行われました。

広島平和資料館提供の30枚のポスターが2月21日からカルタヘナ大学に展示され、学生の関心を引きました。これらのポスターは広島市から大学に寄贈されました。

午前10時からドキュメンタリー映画、｢フラッシュ・オブ・ホープ－世界を航海するヒバクシャたち－｣がカルタヘナ大学のサポートとカルタヘナ国際映画祭（FICCI)の広報宣伝によって大学で上映されました。上映会には約130人の学生が参加しました。

船は午後2時半に着岸し、被爆者の代表団たちはプロエクスポート（輸出を取り扱うコロンビアの政府事業体）の代表者たちと色とりどりの衣装をまとった パレンケラス（アフリカ系コロンビアのコミュニティーの人々）にフルーツで歓迎されました。カルタヘナ地域事務局長、マリア・クリスティーナ・ピミエントさんも一行を歓迎し、「コロンビアは情熱」というテーマのプレゼントを渡しました。

午後3時半に被爆者たちはカルタヘナ大学のゲルマン・アルトゥロ・シエラ学長に歓迎され、大学紹介をされました。また、大学を代表して被爆者の訪問を讃えました。

午後4時、アリシア・サエンズデ・マルコ市庁舎事務局長はカルタヘナ大学の講堂で、ジュディス・ピネド・フロレズ市長の名の元に、被爆者に「街への鍵（Llaves de la ciudad）」を贈り、カルタヘナ市への訪問者を讃えました。

午後4時20分から5時まで、ヒバクシャの平井昭三さんと山中恵美子さんが講堂満員の200人の前で証言をしました。参加者には、スペイン語で書かれた核問題、ピースボート、ヒバクシャ・プロジェクトの情報が配られました。

その後、一行はフアン・マヌエル・サントス・カルデロン大統領と面会しました。被爆者たちの平和運動を激励すると共に、1983年に個人的に広島に訪問したことを述べ、核の問題への理解と被爆者のメッセージへの感謝を述べました。

訪問は多くの地元・国内・国外のメディアによって取り上げられました。

English Report: Peace Boat Hibakusha Project in Cartagena, Colombia

Thanks to the support of Colombian Embassy in Japan and the incredible interest, connections and enthusiasm of Diana Gedeon (Gema Tours), the following activities were carried out during Peace Boat’s visit to Cartagena on February 25, 2011.

An exhibition of 30 posters from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum were exhibited from 21 February at Cartagena University, raising students’ interest. The posters were donated to the university by the City of Hiroshima.

From 10:00am the documentary film “Flashes of Hope: Hibakusha Traveling the World” was screened at the university, with support from Cartagena University and promotion by the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI). The screening was attended by around 130 students.
The ship arrived at 2:30pm and the delegation of Hibakusha were welcomed at the port by representatives of PROEXPORT (a Colombian governmental entity dealing with exports), with colorful palenqueras (people from the Afro Colombian community) carrying fruits. Cartagena Regional Office Director Maria Cristina Pimiento was also present to welcome the group, presenting them with a gift from the city with the theme of “Colombia is passion.”
At 3:30pm the Hibakusha were welcomed at Cartagena University by the Rector German Arturo Sierra, who introduced the university and honored the visit of the Hibakusha with a gift on behalf of the university.
At 4:00pm in the Cartagena University auditorium, General Secretary of the Mayor’s Office, Alicia Saenz de Marco, presented the Hibakusha with the “Llaves de la ciudad (Keys to the city)” recognition in the name of mayor Ms. Judith Pinedo Florez, as honored visitors of Cartagena City.
From 4:20pm – 5:00pm, Hibakusha Mr Hirai Shoso and Ms Yamanaka Emiko shared their testimonies with the full audience of over 200 people. Printed Spanish language information about the nuclear issue and the Peace Boat Hibakusha Project was shared with participants.

After the event the group met with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, who spoke with the Hibakusha for around 15 minutes and expressed his encouragement of their peace activities. The President personally visited Hiroshima in 1983, and spoke of his understanding and appreciation of the message of the Hibakusha.
