こんにちは、
来月６月２日は、Nuclear Abolition Dayです！

Nuclear Abolition Dayは、
各派絶に向けた包括的な活動を行う国際NGO、ICAN(核兵器廃絶国際キャンペーン)が主宰する、
世界中で核兵器廃絶に向けたアクションをする日です。
年に一度地球のことを考えるアースデイの核廃絶版といった感じでしょうか。

昨年は６月２５日に行われ、
世界中でデモやパレード、集会、平和教育のワークショップや核廃絶のためのピクニックなど、
専門的なことから誰もが気軽に参加できるようなイベントまで様々なアクションが行われました。
twitterやfecebookで周りに核兵器をなくそうと呼び掛けるなど、web上でのアクションも盛んに行われます。

今年のNuclear Abolition Dayは６月２日です。
みなさんもこの日、核廃絶に向けて一緒に考えてみませんか？

What is Nuclear Abolition Day?

Nuclear Abolition Day is an annual global day of action for a treaty to outlaw and eliminate all nuclear weapons. It is coordinated by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. Actions in past years have included street demonstrations, benefit gigs, nuclear-free picnics, vigils, marches and education workshops. We encourage people to be as creative as possible. All actions must be non-violent. The aim is to raise public awareness about nuclear dangers and build political support for negotiations on a treaty banning nuclear weapons completely. This year we will also focus on online actions to promote abolition, such as tweeting.
